About This Opportunity

Applications are now open for the Broad Summer Research Program (BSRP) 2026, a fully funded research opportunity offered by the Broad Institute of Harvard and MIT. This competitive 9-week summer program is designed for students interested in biomedical research, genomics, and gaining hands-on lab experience. Eligibility

  • Must have a strong interest in pursuing graduate school (Ph.D. or M.D.-Ph.D.).
  • Must be currently enrolled in a four-year U.S. college for Fall 2025.
  • Graduation Timeline: Must have a graduation date of December 2026 or later.
  • Accepted Majors: Must be majoring in:
  • Physical, biological, or computer sciences.
  • Engineering.
  • Mathematics.
  • Must have a minimum 3.2 GPA (on a 4.0 scale).
  • Citizenship/Residency: Must be a U.S. citizen, permanent resident, or non-U.S. citizen with employment authorization.
  • No previous research experience is required.
  • Students with limited exposure to STEM are especially encouraged to apply.
