ETH Postdoctoral Fellowship 2025/26 in Switzerland

Eligibility

• To be eligible for the ETH Postdoctoral Fellowship, you generally need to meet these criteria by the submission deadline:
• PhD Status: You must either already hold a PhD (obtained a maximum of two years before the deadline, based on your defense date).
• OR, you must be scheduled to defend your PhD within six months of the deadline. If this applies, you’ll need a signed certification from your advisor or department chair, and your defense must be completed before the fellowship begins (no later than six months after the deadline).
• Applicants who earned their PhD or stayed for more than 6 months at ETH Zurich or the University of Zurich will not be considered.
