About This Opportunity

The Fulbright Teaching Excellence and Achievement (TEA) Program 2026 is now open for applications, offering a prestigious professional exchange opportunity in the United States for Pakistani government school teachers. Administered under the globally recognized Fulbright Program, this fully funded program is scheduled to take place in 2027 and runs for approximately six weeks in U.S. academic institutions. The Fulbright TEA Program is specifically designed for teachers in Pakistan who teach Mathematics, Sciences, or Computer Science to students in grades 8 to 10. Selected participants will travel to the U.S. for intensive professional development and are required to return to Pakistan after successfully completing the program. This highly competitive Fulbright scholarship focuses on enhancing teaching excellence by exposing educators to modern instructional strategies, effective lesson planning, classroom management techniques, and innovative student assessment methods. Eligibility

  • Must be a government school teacher in Pakistan
  • Must teach Mathematics, Sciences, or Computer Science to classes 8 to 10
  • At least five years of classroom teaching experience
  • Must be a Pakistani citizen and resident of Pakistan
  • Must plan to continue teaching for at least five years after the program
  • Must have good spoken and written English skills
  • Must hold at least a Bachelor’s degree or 16 years of education.
  • Not Eligible:
  • Dual U.S. and Pakistani citizens
  • Applicants with a U.S. citizen or permanent resident spouse or child over 18
  • Employees or contractors of Fulbright, U.S. Department of State, or USAID and their close family
  • Alumni of any U.S. government funded scholarship program.
