About This Opportunity

Applications are now open for the Harvard LEAD Fellowship 2026-27 in the USA, an exceptional opportunity for global health professionals and emerging leaders. The Harvard LEAD Fellowship Program 2026-27 (Learn, Engage, Advance, Disrupt) is designed to empower post-doctoral researchers, global health leaders, and Harvard junior faculty through advanced leadership development, global collaboration, and professional mentorship. The fellowship will run virtually and in-person from 1st September 2026 to 31st August 2027, giving participants the flexibility to balance work, learning, and leadership growth. About the Harvard LEAD Fellowship 2026 The fellowship will start virtually in the fall semester, allowing fellows to connect through mentorship meetings, leadership planning sessions, and virtual discussions. In the spring semester of 2027, the program will continue in-person at Harvard University for six weeks, providing participants with hands-on leadership workshops, public speaking sessions, team-building experiences, and an executive education course. Fellows will also receive a fully funded stipend that covers housing, travel expenses (flights to and from Cambridge), course fees, and daily per diem for food and transportation during their stay.   • A letter of Intent.
  • Four essays.
  • A letter of institutional commitment from home institution.
  • A letter of mentor commitment.
  • Two additional letters of reference.

Eligibility

  • Applicants from all continents, regions, disciplines, sectors, genders, and gender identities are eligible to apply.
  • Applicants must nominate themselves by submitting an online application.
  • Applicants should at least have a master’s degree in relevant field.
  • Applicants should be currently working in the field of global health and have minimum 10 years of professional experience.
  • Applicants should have support of their employers.
  • Applicants are required to take a leave of absence from their workplace during the in-person program of 6 weeks in April 2027.
  • Applicants must a J-1 visa for travelling to USA and should be allowed to reside in Boston.
  • Fellows should not have participated in a full-time fellowship of 4 or more months, in the last 2 years.
