  • Acceptance letter from the Host researcher

  • PhD Thesis Abstract not exceeding 500 words.

Eligibility

  • Must be a citizen of a country with diplomatic relations with Japan.
  • Must hold a doctoral degree received on or after April 2, 2020 (maternity/paternity leave time may be subtracted, counting 4 weeks as 1 month). OR
  • Those who will complete their doctoral degree by the end of July 2026 are also eligible.
  • A Japanese national (including dual citizenship holders) is not eligible.
  • A permanent resident of Japan can not apply.
