About This Opportunity

A great opportunity has opened for students who want to begin their academic journey in South Korea. Applications are now open for the KAIST University Undergraduate Scholarship 2026 for the Fall intake. KAIST offers an excellent full scholarship for international students, known as the KAIST Full Scholarship, which covers full tuition fees, living expenses, and health insurance. This undergraduate scholarship is open to international applicants from all countries, including those currently studying at another university. No TOPIK (Test of Proficiency in Korean) certificate is required at the time of application, making the process easier for global students. The academic year will begin in September or October 2026, and students graduating by August 2026 are also eligible to apply under the KAIST Regular Track. Requirements

  • KAIST Scholarship Requirement
  • An applicant must be an international student.
  • The university offers KAIST Scholarships to admitted students. Therefore, you must apply for admission, and you will automatically receive the KAIST Scholarship. No separate application is required.
  • Students must maintain a GPA of 2.7 out of 4.3 at KAIST after their freshman year.

  • High School or University Transcript
  • Passport or National ID Copy
  • Statement of Financial Resources.

Benefits

  • Full tuition Fee: Tuition exemption for 8 semesters, covering the entirety of the 4-year program.
  • Living Expenses: 350,000 KRW per month
  • National Health Insurance.

Eligibility

  • Applicants with foreign citizenship.
  • Neither of the applicant’s parents is a Korean citizen; or
  • Applicants of Korean origin must have received their entire elementary, junior high, and high school education outside of Korea.
  • Applicants who hold Korean Citizenship (including dual citizenship) are NOT eligible to apply as international students.
  • Pay the application fee.
