About This Opportunity
The applications are now open for the STScI SASP Summer Program 2026 in the USA. Each Year, STScI invites students to its Space Astronomy Summer Program (SASP). It is a Fully Funded Summer Internship for International students from all around the world. Participants will arrive at the STScI campus in Baltimore, Maryland, USA. The Duration of the STScI Summer Internship is 9 weeks. The Summer Internship will run from June 1 to July 31, 2026. There is no application fee, and applicants from all nationalities can apply. The STScI Summer Internship is open to Undergraduate and Graduate students. The STScI will assist International students in obtaining a work visa if necessary. More details are below.

Eligibility
- Residency: The program is open to both domestic and international students.
- Availability: You must be available full-time from June 1 to July 24, 2026.
- Academic Standing: You must have completed at least one year of undergraduate studies by the time the program begins.
- Age: You must be 18 years of age or older before the program starts.
- Fields of Study: You must be enrolled in (or have just graduated from) an undergraduate program in biology, biochemistry, molecular biology, genetics, chemistry, physics, computing, engineering, mathematics, or a related field.
- Students in combined BS/MS programs are only eligible if they are within the first four years of their program (the undergraduate equivalent).
