Are you ready to attend a fully funded five-day youth forum in Geneva, Switzerland? Applications are now open for the UNODA Youth Biosecurity Fellowship 2026 in Switzerland, a prestigious fully funded fellowship organized by the United Nations Office for Disarmament Affairs. This international youth program combines three months of online workshops and expert-led sessions on biosecurity and diplomacy, followed by an exclusive field visit to Geneva from 17 to 21 August 2026. The fellowship is designed to engage and empower young leaders by strengthening their understanding of global biosecurity challenges and international disarmament frameworks. The UNODA Youth Biosecurity Fellowship 2026 aims to build the capacity of young professionals and students interested in biosecurity, global health security, and diplomatic engagement. Through virtual learning modules and interactive discussions, participants will gain in-depth knowledge of biological risk management, international security policies, and multilateral cooperation. After successfully completing the online component, 20 selected fellows will travel to Switzerland for a fully funded field visit, where they will engage with policymakers, experts, and international organizations based in Geneva. This fully funded youth fellowship in Switzerland covers participation in online sessions and the Geneva field visit, with no application fee and no IELTS requirement. Eligibility

  • Must be under 35 years of age.
  • Must be a citizen of an eligible country (as listed here).
  • Must possess an advanced degree in life sciences or a related discipline from a recognized university or institution.
  • Candidates with backgrounds in social sciences may be considered exceptionally.
  • Undergraduate students can also apply.
  • Female candidates are strongly encouraged to apply.
