US TechGirls Summer Exchange Program 2026

Applications are now open for the OIST Research Internship in Japan for the Fall 2026 intake, offering an excellent fully funded research opportunity for international students from all countries. The internship is hosted by the Okinawa Institute of Science and Technology, a globally recognized research institution known for its interdisciplinary and innovative research environment. This program allows participants to gain hands-on research experience while working closely with leading scientists in Japan. The OIST Research Internship has a flexible duration, with a minimum stay of three months and a maximum of six months. The Fall 2026 internship period will run from October 1, 2026, to March 31, 2027. The program is open to currently enrolled Bachelor’s and Master’s students, as well as recent graduates who hold a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree from any recognized university. Interns will conduct research under the supervision of OIST faculty members and research mentors. IELTS or any other English language test is not required, making this opportunity accessible to a wide range of applicants.
