About This Opportunity

Apply Now: Youth Leadership Forum 2025 in Iceland – Fully Funded Opportunity! Applications are open for the HKH–Arctic Youth Leadership Forum 2025, a fully funded leadership program in Reykjavik, Iceland, happening in October 2025. Organized by ICIMOD and Arctic Circle, this program will select 12 young leaders to join a unique cross-regional forum focused on climate action. The fellowship includes virtual sessions, monthly webinars, leadership training, and a fully funded trip covering travel, accommodation, and participation costs. Participants will lead campaigns, represent their regions, and collaborate on global climate solutions.

Requirements

  • CV.
  • 1 letter of endorsement.
  • A short personal statement.
  • 2 minutes video pitch.
  • Copy of passport’s personal information page.

Benefits

  • All costs of in-person event will be fully covered including travelling and accommodation expenses.
  • There is no participation fees.
  • Young leaders will attend capacity-building and training sessions led by climate experts from Arctic and HKH regions.
  • Participants will get global recognition, and opportunity to participate in other international forums and conferences.
  • Participants will get Certification of participation and reference letters after completing the program successfully.
  • Participants will become a part of network of HKH and Arctic youth leaders, activists, policymakers, and climate advocates.

Eligibility

  • Applicants must be aged 19–35 years.
  • Applicants must be citizens of an HKH or Arctic country.
  • You must be part of a youth organisation or program related to climate or environment.
  • You must show interest in Arctic and/or HKH environmental and climate issues.
  • Applicants must have leadership potential and should be involved in volunteer work or climate-related activities.
  • Applicants must be ready to collaborate with other youth climate networks.
  • Applicants should have dedication to gender equality and inclusive engagement.
  • They should have excellent English language and public speaking skills.
  • Applicants should be comfortable with content creation and social media.
  • Participants must be available for 4–7 hours per month for 1 year.
  • You must have a laptop and good internet connection.
  • Applicants must have passport validity for minimum 6 months after October 2025.
