Work for the IMF, work for the world. The International Monetary Fund (IMF) is now accepting applications for the IMF Fund Internship Program (FIP) 2026 in the United States. This fully funded summer internship offers an incredible opportunity for students from around the globe to gain professional experience at the IMF headquarters in Washington, D.C. Eligibility

  • For Economist: Be within one to two years of completing a PhD in macroeconomics or a related field.
  • For Legal Department: You must be one to two years away from completing your LL.M., J.D., or equivalent law degree.
  • Maintain a student status at the time of the internship.
  • Age below 32.
  • Fluency in English (written and oral).
  • Strong analytical, quantitative, and computer skills.
