About This Opportunity

Applications are now open for the Swiss Summer Student Program 2026 in Switzerland, a fully funded research internship for international Bachelor’s and Master’s students interested in particle physics and advanced scientific research. The program is offered at leading Swiss institutions including ETH Zurich, University of Zurich, École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne, and University of Bern. This international summer research internship in Switzerland allows students from around the world to participate in real research projects focused on advanced detectors and data analysis in particle physics while working under the supervision of experienced scientists and researchers. The Swiss Summer Student Program in Particle Physics will run for approximately nine weeks from July to September 2026, giving participants the opportunity to gain practical experience with modern research methods, experimental techniques, and scientific analysis. Selected students will receive financial support to cover accommodation, food, and other living expenses during the program. In addition, the program covers travel costs, visa expenses, and health insurance for successful applicants traveling to Switzerland. Beyond financial benefits, the program also provides strong academic and professional development opportunities. Participants will network with fellow students, international researchers, and leading scientists while gaining valuable exposure to world-class research environments. In some cases, the internship may also lead to the opportunity to extend the research work into a Master’s thesis project. For students interested in particle physics, experimental science, and advanced data analysis, the Swiss Summer Student Program 2026 offers an outstanding opportunity to gain international research experience and build a strong academic profile before applications close.
