Benefits

  • Full Tuition Fee Coverage
  • All academic tuition costs are fully covered throughout the duration of the PhD program.
  • Monthly Living Stipend (S$2,700)
  • Scholars will receive a generous monthly stipend of S$2,700 to support living expenses in Singapore.
  • Stipend Increase to S$3,200
  • After successfully passing the first qualifying exam, the stipend increases to S$3,200 per month.
  • Airfare Grant (Up to S$1,500)
  • A one-time airfare grant of up to S$1,500 is provided to help cover travel expenses to Singapore.
  • Settling-In Allowance (S$1,000)
  • Scholars receive a settling-in allowance of S$1,000 upon arrival to help with initial setup costs such as housing or utilities.

Eligibility

  • Valid Passport Copy
  • A clear scanned copy of your passport’s personal information page is mandatory for identity verification.
  • Recent Passport-Size Photograph
  • Submit a recent, clear passport-size photo in either JPG or PNG format. This photo will be used in your application profile.
  • Academic Transcripts in English
  • Upload all academic transcripts (including bachelor’s degree or equivalent) in English. If the original documents are not in English, provide certified English translations alongside the originals.
  • Two Recommendation Letters
  • You must nominate two academic referees during the application. They will receive an email link to submit confidential recommendations online directly.
  • English Proficiency Certificate (if applicable)
  • While SINGA generally does not require IELTS/TOEFL, the partner university may request it, so it is recommended to upload a valid English language proficiency certificate, if available.
