Apply Now: ASEF Public Diplomacy Training 2025 – Fully Funded Trip to Singapore! Applications are open for the 13th ASEF Public Diplomacy Training Program (ASEFPDT13) – a hybrid learning opportunity for aspiring public diplomacy professionals. The online course runs from 15 September to 20 October 2025, followed by a fully funded in-person training in Singapore from 1–5 December 2025 for selected participants. Learn from expert trainers, engage in live sessions, explore AI tools, and enhance your skills in Asia-Europe public diplomacy. The final program in Singapore includes strategic campaign building, case studies, and a cultural tour. Open globally No participation fee Virtual + in-person learning experience

Eligibility

  • Applicants can be early or mid-career diplomats in departments working with Asia, Europe, or ASEM in the Ministries of Foreign Affairs (or equivalent) in the eligible Asian and European countries.
  • Applicants can be early or mid-career diplomats posted by eligible ASEM Partners to ASEM countries who are dealing with public diplomacy.
  • Eligible countries include Australia, Austria, Bangladesh, Belgium, Brunei, Bulgaria, Cambodia, China, Croatia, Cyprus, Czech Rep, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, India, Indonesia, Ireland, Italy, Japan, Kazakhstan, Korea, Laos PDR, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malaysia, Malta, Mongolia, Myanmar, Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Pakistan, Philippines, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Singapore, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Thailand, UK, Vietnam.
  • Applicants must have MA degree or BA degree with minimum 3 years of diplomatic working experience.
  • Applicants must be currently working in the Asia-Europe context.
  • Applicants must have high proficiency in English language.
  • Applicants should have interest in public diplomacy, public affairs, or communications.
  • The time required for online course per week during 5 weeks is 5-7 hours which includes the class meeting time.
  • Participants who will complete the online course will be selected for physical training in Singapore.
